RONNIE ANCONA
August 11, 2023
My condolences to Gail's family, friends, and colleagues. I knew Gail only a bit through CUNY Classics, but I greatly valued her efforts on behalf of individuals from groups underrepresented in academia. She was doing important diversity, equity, and inclusion work long before DEI was a term. And as a past editor of The Classical Outlook, I am delighted to be in her company from the journal's history. She and her work will be greatly missed.
