Hermansville- Gail R. St. Onge, 84, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born on July 14, 1941, in Marinette, Wisc., daughter of the late Leo and Margaret Headman. On May 24, 1969, at St. Williams Church in Menominee, Mich., Gail was united in marriage to James St. Onge. They were married for 50 years before James passed away. Gail lived in Hermansville for over 50 years.

Gail lived a life defined by her faith, love, family, and gratitude. She devoted many years to her family as a homemaker. Gail also worked in home health for the Hermansville Senior Center for a few years. She devoted her life to her church as a Eucharistic Minister and with the ladies' group helping organize luncheons and events for St. John Newman Catholic Church in Hermansville. For the past 7 years, Gail was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain, Mich.

Gail's biggest joy was her three granddaughters, Bailey, McKayla, and Chloe St. Onge, and her two great-grandchildren, Jace and Georgia.

She is further survived by two sons, Thomas (Angela) St. Onge and Chris St. Onge, and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, James, Gail was preceded in death by ten siblings.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain, Mich. Rev. Fr. Mike Chenier will officiate. Burial will take place in Meyer Township Cemetery in the spring.
