Gail Jeanette Braimer Thorne was born to Margie Inita Thorne in Waelder, Texas, on October 21, 1957. She was a member at St. Paul Baptist Church. Gail attended Ralph Bunch School. Gail's passion was cooking. She prepared all her meals and a feast every Sunday. No one left her house without a plate. Gail worked for Holly Farm for many years. Sheworked for Gonzales Headstart, and later went to work for Cuero Home Health until they discontinued their services. She went on to work for Elaring Caring until her health failed.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Thorne; brother, Jimmy Thorne, aunt, Aristene Ward uncles, Gloster Braimer and Joseph Braimer; nephew, Dyron Green; and great-grandson, Emersyn Salazar. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Nicole Thorne (Lloyd) of Gonzales, TX; sons, Elan Thorne (Stephanie) of Victoria, TX, and Derrick Dora (Reaana) of Gonzales, TX; sister, Glenda Braimer of Gonzales, TX; two brothers, Larry Thorne (Dora) of Belton, TX, and Kenneth Thorne, Sr., of Waelder, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Sharod Braimer (Helen); and a very special friend, Ms. Barbara Hale, along with a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
