Gail Westover (57), of Crofton, Maryland, passed away at 11:19p.m. on December 25, 2025. Gail battled pancreatic cancer for 21 months, but never stopped making the most out of every day, working, traveling and spending as much time with her family as possible. A skilled litigation attorney, loving mother, and dedicated producer of multiple theater productions, Gail’s passion and work ethic was central to her life.

Born and raised in Chatham, New York, Gail is the daughter of Wilma and Vernon Westover (deceased).  Gail graduated from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1990. She began working at NTEU, and met her husband Steve shortly thereafter, and they were married in 1996. Gail attended Georgetown University Law School at night while working at NTEU and joined the firm of Sutherland, Asbil, & Brennan (now Eversheds-Sutherland) in 1997, where she worked her way up to being a partner. She also served as a board member of the Women's Bar Association for several years.

Gail loved to travel, going to Portugal, Spain, France, Amsterdam, London, Aruba, the Virgin Islands, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Hawaii since learning of her diagnosis. Gail was an expert at making everyone feel welcome in her home, as she hosted numerous holidays with elaborate meals and decor. Gail’s laugh was infectious, and her caring spirit transformed the lives of those who spent time with her. She also loved the theater, not only traveling to New York to see Broadway shows at every opportunity, but also serving as parent producers for many of the theater productions that her children participated in with the Talent Machine, Crofton Middle and Archbishop Spalding High School.

She is survived by her husband of 29+ years, Stephen Keller, and her three children, Caitlin, Caroline and Cameron, as well as by her mother Wilma, her sisters Kim Cardillo and Kelly Berger, and her brother Craig. Gail will always be remembered by her large extended family, colleagues and friends who loved her dearly. A celebration of life will be held in the auditorium of Archbishop Spalding High School on Jan. 2 at 3p.m. We invite all who wish to attend. Flowers can be sent to Beall Funeral Home.
