A tragic loss to the world, Ms Costa touched my heart many many times with her voice, tenderness, artistry and sheer talent to express the entirety of human expression. First time i heard her was the Live So Paulo Jobim double disc recording. I must have played Se Todos Fossem Iguais A Você one thousand times, my eyes breaking water each time.
And Minha Voz, Minha Vida, stairs to heaven fir the soul.
She was truly something special. Obrigado por tudo, Gal!

My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted army fans of Ms. Gal Costa. Ms. Gal Costa was a Brazilian singer who became an icon of tropicália music, blending traditional styles with rock and avant-garde sounds. She was greatly admired by her fellow artists and all those who knew her. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by her. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Ms. Gal Costa. May her music and legacy keep her memory alive forever.

Simply the best, the true essence of the Brazilian rhythm! Since my early teen years there was no other singer I would listen to. My time was bearable as an odd teen, due to her power to tell a story trough her singing voice! We really lost an Angel. greatly missed. RIP
