Garland Shelton Dunnam

Garland Shelton Dunnam, age 91, of Lucedale passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 surrounded by family. Mr. Dunnam was born October 25, 1934. He is the son of the late John Cecil and the late Dollie L. (Brewer) Dunnam.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married the late Annelle Weeks Dunnam and had two sons, William and John Aaron. He served as a deacon at a number of Baptist Churches. Mr. Dunnam was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale. He was employed by Chevron as an accountant. He later married Helen Robinson.

He is survived by his wife: Helen (Robinson) Dunnam; son: William (Jill) Dunnam; grandchildren: Willie (Rachel) Dunnam, Savannah (Lorenzo) Catlett, Alex (Joel) Daniels, Cameron (Leah) Dunnam; great grandchild, John "Jack" Nathanael Dunnam; brother: Cecil Dunnam; and many other loving family members.

Predeceased by his first wife, Annelle Dunnam; son, John Aaron Dunnam: sisters: Alene Pierce and Verlene Burroughs; brothers: Shafter Dunnam and Rayford Dunnam.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. William Dunnam officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
