Garnick Melconian

Garnick "Nick" Melconian passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance, entrepreneurship, and deep devotion to his family.

Born in Tabriz, Iran, the son of a genocide survivor immigrated to the United States on his own in the early 1960's in pursuit of a greater opportunity. Through determination and hard work, he built a successful life on Long Island and founded Tri-Color Labs, a photo imaging business that proudly served the community for many years. His journey reflected the true spirit of the American dream.

Garnick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Nina, and a proud and loving father to his two sons, Eric and Elcid. He was a cherished grandfather to Samantha, Stephanie, Alexandra, and Nicolas, the children of Eric, and to Yeraz, daughter of Elcid & Vena (wife).Those who knew Garnick will remember his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to his family. He took immense pride in the life he built and the values he passed down to future generations.

Visitation will be held at Perry Funeral Home in Lynbrook, followed by funeral services at St. Sarkis Armenian Church in Douglaston, with interment at Greenfield Cemetery in Hempstead.
