Garry Lynn Quick of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 30, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born April 29, 1949, in Gainesville, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Delena Mae (Lena) Quick. Garry was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War aboard the USS Richard B. Anderson. Throughout his working years, Garry held several jobs, including long-distance trucking. He retired to Pensacola, Florida, where he became an active member of the American Legion Post #340 in Pensacola, Florida. Garry moved to Mountain Home from Pensacola, Florida, in 2021, to be closer to his family. He enjoyed taking his classic corvettes on long drives, especially to visit the graves of his ancestors. He loved going to the casino in Siloam Springs, and stopping for lunch along the way. Garry was a dedicated volunteer for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, where he spent countless hours providing general maintenance and lawncare. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. Garry will be remembered as strong, determined and caring.
Garry is survived by his son, Jeff Quick (Tom Kiley) of Mountain Home, AR; sisters, Arthurlene Morrow of Winter Haven, Florida, Norma (Orville) Haney of Gardner, Kansas, Eloise Fore of Kansas City, Missouri, and Carmen Quick of Branson, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Quick and Delena Mae Quick; sisters, Ernestine Mahan, Genelle Mahan, Reba Lee Smith; and brothers Bruce Quick, and Larry Quick.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm, at First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home.
