TECUMSEH- Garry Allen Wilcox, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on February 15, 1963, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to Donald E. and Carla (Perfetti) Wilcox.
Garry graduated from Garden City West High School in 1982. He played Basketball and ran track all throughout high school and played basketball in college and while stationed in the Navy. He attended Henry Ford College for law enforcement before deciding to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. While stationed in Texas, he worked as a mechanic on jets. Later in life, having a passion for aircraft, Garry worked as an ESE ground crew for Northwest and Delta Airlines at Detroit Metro Airport.
On August 1, 1992, he married the love of his life, Kirsten Worden. Garry and Kirsten had three daughters: Rachel, Maria, and Andi. He had many hobbies. His biggest obsession was golf, as well as sharing his passion for Star Wars, history, and baseball with his daughters and grandchildren. Later in his years he started rock hunting, hiking, kayaking, and visiting the gun range with his wife and friends. He was always encouraging his loved ones in their pursuits and was his kid's biggest supporter. He never missed an opportunity to tell loved ones how much he loved them. He had a personal relationship with God as a Christian, and respected the religious views of others who didn't share in his beliefs. Most of all he loved spending time and traveling with his wife and family. Garry was the type of positive person that loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh. He would regularly be seen dancing without rhythm just to put a smile on others faces. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish Garry's memory are his wife, Kirsten; daughters, Maria and Andi Wilcox; six grandchildren; two brothers, Martin (Denise) Wilcox, Rick (Karen) Wilcox; and son in law Richard Baugh; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, Donald E. and Carla Wilcox, stillborn twin daughter and son, and daughter, Rachel D. Baugh.
Garry has chosen to be cremated and will be buried in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh, Michigan. Arrangements for a Celebration of Life for his many friends and family and a private family burial will be announced at a later date.
