Garth Rasmusson

Garth Anders Rasmusson of Ramer Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on March 5th, 2025, at the age of 56.
Garth was born September 11th, 1968, in Aurora Illinois to Nancy L. (Petersen) Rasmusson-Goering and Leo V. Rasmusson.
Garth spent 23 years of dedicated service with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. Throughout his time with KCSO, he touched many people and was honored with a lifesaving award. Garth also a realtor for the Kendall County area for 4 years before his service with the Sheriff's Office. Garth had a zest for life he learned while working at McKeever's Corner, The Big T and attending Winona State University and Benedictine University.
Garth is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Amber Rasmusson, his children Miah Rasmusson (Brodey Wilson), Caleb Rasmusson and his beloved Granddaughter Eleanor Wilson as well as nephews Joshua (Amber) Slaughter, and Nathan (Erica) Slaughter. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Goering (Rasmusson), his siblings Leo V. Rasmusson II (Mary Rasmusson), Dawn McNair (Bob McNair), and Lynette Ebbert. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews : Sabrina (McCay) Slaughter, Selina (Gregory) Chancy, Kiersten (Shariff) Martin, Daniel O'Leary, and Keegan O'Leary. There were also many friends that he considered family. Garth is proceeded in death by his father, Leo V. Rasmusson, stepfather Charles L. Goering, niece Sierra Perkins, and Grandfather Harry Peterson.
Garth was the most loving and dedicated man to family, friends, and strangers alike. He touched so many lives in his time here on Earth. Garth was an avid lover of nature and the outdoors, enjoying spending the summers fishing with his family, the fall in a deer stand and the holidays by spreading Christmas spirt. He was also a dedicated Mason for his entire adult life.
Garth spent his retirement enjoying time with his wife, children, and teaching his grandchild the skills of life, like how to give everyone around a smile. Garth met many beloved friends while attending gun and knife shows, and spending time with his friends at High Street Herbs.
