Gary was one of the nicest people I have ever met. If we were all the type of person Gary was the world would be a better place. RIP dear friend.

God bless you Gary. I first met you at the Y years ago when pickleball was being discovered by us Boomers. You welcomed me as if I was an old friend and always had a kind word and a smile to share. Unfortunately I strayed from pickleball due to injuries and did not see Gary for years. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was a fine man.
I can see Gary already lobbying the Lord to set up a Triple Pickle tournament.
RIP Gary.

Gary and I shared a canoe on a 50 mile Explorer Scout Canoe Trip in Northern Wisconsin. We had a great time together on this trip. And I very much enjoyed seeing him again in xxxxx at the SHS '63 80th Birthday Party back in Salem in xxxxx. See photo.

I am so sorry that Gary has left us but I will always cherish his memory. I feel I am a better person for knowing him. I always enjoyed playing pickleball with him. However, I believe what I most cherish about him was the organization of the discussion groups. Fly high Gary!

When one suffers we all suffer. So sad to hear about Gary... He was like the welcoming committee at the Y.. he noticed everyone and encouraged everyone to pick up the game of pickleball and then made it even more fun by creating triple pickle with friends... I know God said in that moment, well done my good and faithful servant... Welcome to My Kingdom... May God's grace comfort all those Who Loved Gary ..

Gary was so special to me! He was kind and always had a smile on his face. He taught a lot of us how to play pickleball and we loved Triple Pickle! I will miss him so much! He planned so many get togethers and mostly was the hit of the party. God comfort his family in their time of need. Love you friend, Mickie Hughbanks

I can´t think of anyone who would be missed more than Gary. Such an endearing man. This photo was taken a few months ago at a lunch organized at his request. We will miss him terribly. Rest in peace Gary.

I know each and every one of these people will miss Gary. It´s because of him that we´re wearing those T-shirts. He created that group. He also taught me how to play with a remarkable patient. It was my honor to call him, my friend.
