Gary A Allmon, age 67, of Roosevelt, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home.
Gary was born on August 9, 1955, in Salem, Ohio, to Ernest Arnold and Mary Alice House Allmon.
Gary enjoyed hunting, hunting for antler sheds, riding his motorcycle with friends, watching football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, and generally just hanging out with his friends.
Gary moved from Ohio to Utah right after high school to work for the Murphy family, who he lovingly considered family. He met Joan, his loving partner, who would eventually become his wife, in 2004. Gary had many good people in his life that he called friends. So much so that their children grew up calling him Uncle Gary.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to our sister Brenda for taking good care of Gary for the past year.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Sarah (John) Dolan, Leetonia, Ohio; step-daughter, Tracie Carmichael, Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandchildren, Asher (John) Carmichael, Longmont, Colorado; Nathan and Miya Dolan, OH; siblings, John Allmon, Roosevelt; Jean Costlow, Salem, OH; Stacy (Dan) Hawkins, Damascus, OH; Tracy (Charles) Leverknight, Wakeman, OH; Leigh (Chanti) Allmon, Youngstown, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan, a sister, Deb, and a brother, Jeff.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Hullinger Mortuary. Burial of the cremated remains will follow the services at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
