Gary was my best friend, and we called ourselves brothers by a different mother. We met in high school, lost touch for a while and then reconnected just a few years ago. We stayed in touch via emails but since we lived so far apart never actually got together which I now regret so much. Gary will always remain in my memory for many reasons, perhaps one being that we both shared cancer and while I was able to beat mine, Gary had a worse case and was unable to beat his. But during that time, we would joke about that dreaded "C" with each other and I hope it helped him deal with his case a bit. Miss you my friend and "brother".
