Kent Garrett
August 26, 2024
So sorry to know Gary has passed. We go back to the late 60s when we formed the Salem R/C Pilots Assn. Gary was the first treasurer. We enjoyed flying radio controlled model aircraft. I kept in contact with Gary and here is the last email I received from him on August 6th. We both thought he was doing better.
"Hi Kent, thanks for the pic. WOW! That's a big jet.
Health seems to be stable. The heart is stable. I am scheduled for a pacemaker installation on October 17th. The chemo seems to be working also. My PSA has gone from 6 down to 2.7 in ninety days. I feel well enough I should be able to come down to the jet meet. I have had strength to continue to play with my model stuff. I discovered there are two Aero Masters mostly framed up sitting over in the corner. Do you want one? I think I gave you one of the wings some time ago. If you want, I can bring it down when I come to the jet meet. No plans but mostly already built. Thanks again for all the prayers. God has control and is holding the throttle. I can feel it. See you in a few weeks. Gary" Gary was a good man and a good friend and is missed. Kent Garrett
