I also worked with Gary at the Claton House Motel. He was the assistant manager and hired me as a bell hop and I worked there 1967 and 1968 . He was the nicest and funniest guy I have ever worked with.
May God bless his soul!

I worked with Gary at the Clayton House in Lincoln, Nebraska so many years ago. I was a bellman who grew up with many fond memories of lessons learned at the Clayton House. I hit a streak of severe depression and I remember the kindness of Gary as he would interrupt the day and invite me into his office to willingly listen, even in the midst of all the headaches that I and other bellmen caused by our immaturity. Compassion, mercy when I needed it, correction when I needed it, a very amazing man. I appreciate the impact he had on my life. I am so thankful that he lived his life out in the shadow of the cross.
