Terri, we are were so saddened to learn of Gary's passing. Although it's been a long while since we've seen you both, we have never forgotten the kindness of you two. I first met Gary years and years ago when he was cutting hair at the Golden Razor in the Brookdale Mall. I followed him and his partner to their new hair salon in the strip mall by the old Bridgeman's. Then when Gary ventured out on his own and opened Shear Advantage, both Greg and I followed him there. Soon my sister, mom and our girls were also getting their hair cut by Gary. My brother came to know Gary well, as they both worked for Wayzata schools. They shared a common interest in woodcarving. So, Gary touched the lives of many in my own family and we all thought the world of him! He was one of the kindest souls on this earth and our hearts go out to you and your family for this tremendous loss. Thoughts and prayers for you all.

Gary was a true soldier
Not only to his country and family but to God
When he heard his diagnosis he was concerned for Terri and sons but he knew he was to accept what confronted him ,as a soldier would . He decided when his battle was over and was ready to meet his Great Maker.
Our 4 star hero , we love you

Gary was a neighborhood "dad" to all us kids back in Robbinsdale. I have nice memories of his sense of humor and family values hanging out at the Behl house in the summers. He was always kind and generous to me, treating me like one of his own. I'll miss his smile.

I am so sorry I never got the opportunity to meet Gary in person, but based on the kindness and generous nature of his son, Colin, I feel like I have gotten to know the essence of the type of genuine man that Gary was. My deepest sympathies to all of his family and friends.
