Gary was a great patriot and human being. He had a strong faith in GOD.

After twice reading the book, BLAZE OF LIGHT, my most important thoughts I gleaned are the examples of the power of prayer in Gary's life and the legacy he leaves for us in that respect.

The first time I met Gary was at a Special Forces Association convention in in either Harrisburg or Carlysle, PA. I always enjoyed being in the company of Gary and his wife Lolly. Gary was a great American, a great role model for all and a great follower of GOD.

I believe God put me in touch with Brother Gary and Sister Lolly through the Internet, because he and my husband, also a 5th Group Special Forces Vietnam veteran returning to America in 1971, both went to the Holy Bible for all of life's answers--Gary in his cave and my husband in remote rural Texas. Because of their sincere seeking, both men are examples of what God can do with humble hearts. I would like to offer sincere sympathy to the Beikirch family on behalf of my husband and myself, and express my appreciation for the emails received, inspiring my efforts to honor our veterans at my school.

My husband Ken and I loved Gary, all he stood for, and his humility and love for the souls of mankind. Ken is now with the Lord and I know he agrees with me. RIP Gary.

You kindness, your concern for others, and your dedication touched thousands, and made their lives better. Knowing you for the past 4 decades has made me a far better person.
I will miss your smile, your quiet strength, and yes, your love of mischief.
Rest easy, Gary, the battles are over...

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Beikirch family at the death of Gary. He was the best man we have ever met, patriotic, brave, kind and deeply spiritual. He lived his faith and was an example for the many students and teachers who knew him. Rest in the arms of God, Gary.

Gary was a friend, a true American hero, but most of all he was a good and decent man who made those around him better people just for knowing him. Rest in Peace!
