It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my husband Gary G. Botts. Gary passed away in his sleep on January 26th, 2024, at his home in Los Lunas NM. Gary was the baby of the Botts family. Born September 3rd, 1949, in Miami, Oklahoma. Gary started driving semi-trucks in 1979 in Oklahoma and later moved to Grants, NM Gary worked for Anderson, Raines, Coast to Coast Roadrunner, and ended his career as a loader operator for Waycor. Gary loved his Job and took pride in it, but still left time for his hobbies that included making the best chocolate fudge around, and fishing and camping at Bluewater lake where he made many beloved memories with his grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Eleanor Botts. His son Gary Botts JR. His Grandson Matthew Herrera. His brothers; Clinton, Clayton, and Terry. And his sisters; Pat, Inyce and Sue. His mother and father-in-law Frank and Susie Lopez, and brother-in-law David F. Lopez.
Gary is survived by his wife of 39 years Dolores Botts, his sons Mike and Tommy Botts, his stepchildren; Michelle Sanchez and Fiancé Tom Griego, Rhonda Smid-Abbott, Cody and Suzie Smid, Mitzi and Jack Bartlett. Grandchildren; Michael and Debrionna Mulhall, Enrique and Rhiannon Bustamante, Mike and Jessica Alirez. And great grandchildren Ashlynn Trujillo, Madison, Killian, and Marilyn Mulhall, Joaquin, Cataleya and Natalia Bustamante.
There will be no funeral or services per Gary's wishes.
