I knew Dutch from our daily walks at Yowell Meadow Park. He and his dog,Max, would walk in one direction around the park and I would walk in the other. We would cross paths two or three times during each round. I carried some milk bone treats with me for Max. Each time we passed one another we would stop and talk for a couple of minutes and I would shake Max's paws and give him a treat. Dutch and Max were at the park every day. Everyone there knew and liked them. Dutch was a genuinely nice guy and he will be missed. From a fellow USAF vet, R.I.P., Dutch.

My condolences to his family in there time of mourning. Known by the staff as Dutch, he was iconic as a patron of pizza hut. He was friendly conversational and we all truely looked forward to his weekly visit. He showed immense love for his wife always taking such care of her. The old fashion chivalry in this man was spoken of highly for the 7 years we were honored to know him. He will be very missed and never forgotten.

I knew Dutch when he played on our baseball team at Midland Church of the Brethren. He and his wife and family worshipped with us for a few years. We will miss him.

My prayers go out to Gary's family. I did not know him but saw him frequently walking with his dog at Yowell and he was always very friendly. Was nice to see another New Englander/Red Sox fan here.
