Gary J. Ceru, a dedicated Supervisor for Suffolk County, NY and cherished father, passed away on April 17, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson, NY. Born on November 21, 1959, in the Bronx, NY, Gary lived a life marked by commitment to his work and an unwavering love for his family.
He is remembered fondly by his daughters, Tina (Sean) Blount and Victoria Ceru (Dan) Pilo, and a grandchild Surge, who were the lights of his life. Gary also leaves behind his Sister Cindy Kronin, his uncle, Richard Santoro, and his aunt, Grace (Gerard) Rapuano, both of whom played significant roles in his life.
Visitation will be held on April 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home located in Deer Park, NY. Following the visitation, a Mass will be celebrated at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park at 11:15 AM.
Gary's legacy of service and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His contributions to Suffolk County reflect his commitment to making a positive impact in his community, while his devotion to his daughters and family remains a testament to the loving father he was.
