Gary Clark, 58, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Sunday January 4th, 2026. Gary was the most loving and giving son, father, grandfather, and friend that anyone could ask for.
Born on May 10th, 1967 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Roger Clark and Sandy Browning, growing up with 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Gary lived life full throttle and found his greatest peace in the outdoors.
Gary’s passions included spending time in the mountains, fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR and listening to all genres of music from big hair bands to country.
Gary appreciated the freedom of the open road – whether on two wheels or eighteen. But most importantly, his greatest happiness was being surrounded with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his children: Dustin Clark (Tausha); Jacqueline Bowcutt (Jacob); Shayce Clark; Brittni Messenger. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Clark, Sofia Wesley, Delilah Wesley, Vada Wesley, Rayze Clark, Kyler Clark, and Amelia Clark, Hayden Messenger, Oliver Messenger. Father: Roger Clark (Colleen). Siblings: Jon Clark (Darla), Michael Clark (Kim), Brad Crazier, Kenneth Clark (Tracey), Jeanette Staus (George), Ruey Blackney (Danny).
Gary is preceded in death by his mothers’ Sandy Browning and Marie Clark. Grandparents Delbert and Mildred Clark. Brother Jason Clark. Uncles: Brent Clark, Chet Jannings, and Larry Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. and Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. both at the funeral home.
