Gary Dean Coffman, age 78, of Kirby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
He was born in Murfreesboro on October 18, 1947. He was the son Doyce Coffman and Clarice Tedder Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters Martha Nutt Bouchillon and Betty Short Adcock; and his wife, Linda June Coffman.
He was a member of Daisy Church Christ. He married the loved of his life, Linda, on October 1, 1965. She was truly his best friend. he loved hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. Most of all he loved being with Linda, his kids, and his grandkids. Gary was a loving husband, dad, papa, brother, and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tonja and Mike Whisenhunt of Kirby; his son, Toby Coffman and his fiancé, Ginger of Hot Springs; his grandchildren, Zack Wilson, Nathaniel and Ashley Coffman, Sabrina Coffman, and Tristian Whisenhunt; his great-grandchildren, Cayelyn, Ardan, Kaysin, Leknox, Tribuis, Atlas, and Kamdyn; his two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie Cates and Nadine and Terry Herald all of North Little Rock; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Peirre Davis, Timmy Mack, Matt Mack, Dallas Simmons, Nathaniel Coffman, and Jeff Herald.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Zack Wilson, Mike Whisenhunt, Delmas Simmons, David Mack, Donnie Mack, Shane Herald, and Kevin Evans.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be held at Mt. Joy Cemetery.
