March 10, 1944 - June 24, 2023
Sacramento, California - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary R. Cooley on June 24, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Luella M. Cooley, and his sister, Bobbie McCreary.
He leaves behind his loving wife Lydia, his much loved son, Clint Cooley and daughter-in-law Jennifer. He was the proud Papa to C.J. Cooley (USMC) and Elias Cooley as well as a wonderful brother to his sister JoAnn Dillon.
Born in Sacramento on March 10th, 1944. Gary was honorably discharged from the US Navy.
Arrangements (TBD) will be made by Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home.

Gary was the brother I never had. We talked weekly about our lives and so many memories we had together! We have known each other since 3rd grade, played South Side Little League together, we fished the North Fork of the American River many times and over the years Gary helped me with projects at my property in Placerville. Gary was the one person in my life I could always count on. I shall miss him greatly and already have hopefully we shall meet again someday he has left a large void in my life! Love you brother shall see you soon

I´m so sad to hear about Gary. He was my closest friend growing up on C street. Although we hadn´t seen each other for some time, I will miss him.
