Gary P. Dalis

Gary P. Dalis, of Melrose, died peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born in Chelsea, MA on January 13, 1948, to the late Olga (Sharis) and Paul Dalis. Gary was raised in Chelsea and later moved to Melrose. He was a proud graduate of Boston State College. Gary worked as a meat cutter at Shaw's in Melrose for forty years, where he had many repeat customers who were always met with a friendly smile. He was also a past president and member of the Melrose Lions Club.
Gary was the beloved husband of Janet M. Dalis of Melrose. Loving father of Derek Dalis and Craig Dalis. Proud grandfather of Love Dalizzarro and Jack Dalis, and great-grandfather of Everleigh Dalizzarro. Caring brother of Connie Dalis, Deborah Spalvins, and Pamela Cranmer.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, April 25th, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow the service at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
