Gary Daniel Obituary

Gary was raised in the Madison area and was a member of Madison High School's Class of 1976. He started out working his father's service station in Madison as a teenager and eventually made his way to being employed with Metro Nashville Government Social Services. Gary's family will remember him as being a wonderful musician (guitar and mandolin), collector of antiques, and animal lover. He was a man of strong faith and was a member of Neely's Bend Church of Christ. Gary was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Sue Mason Campbell.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Daniel; mother Alfreeda Daniel; sisters Deborah Daniel, Renee (Mike) Kirsh, and Susie (John) Beatty; nieces Jennifer (Michael) Mixon and Courtney Beatty; nephews Doug (Jennifer) Meadows, Nate (Caitlin) Meadows, and Carter Beatty; father-in-law Jerrell Campbell; sister-in-law Terri Campbell; and loyal pets Liza and Humphrey.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm on Friday, June 9 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 12 pm noon with Nelson Garrett officiating. The family will welcome friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Cummings, Rick Pharris, Mike Kirsh, Michael Mixon, Nate Meadows, and Doug Meadows. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrell Campbell, Ray Hoover, Oscar Markham, John Beatty, Carter Beatty, Darce Pirtle, David Pirtle, Thurman Harris, Jeremy Odle, Frank Scruggs, Dr. Adam Nagy of Vanderbilt Medical Center and Dr. Chad Kurzynske of Hermitage Primary Care.
Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Daniel. A Landmark since 1785, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."

I want to say I am sorry for your loss. Gary and I grew up together. We were neighbors as well as with his Sisters, Debbie and Renee. His parents were friends with my parents. We played checkers and he would always beat me. He will be missed.
