Gary Dankwardt Obituary
Mr. Dankwardt was born on April 12, 1951, in Hinsdale, IL, son of the late Robert E. Dankwardt, Sr. and Jean (Cunningham) Heimer.
Gary served our country in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was also a Sheet Metal Fabricator. Gary was of the Methodist Faith. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Dankwardt; son, Gary Dankwardt, Jr. of Sparta, TN; daughters, Heidi Franklin (Sean), of Arizona, Holly Mefford (Paul), Texas; and Amber Wiggins (Ken), Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Christian Lawson, Colton Lawson, Lexi Wiggins, Alex Franklin, Dani Franklin, Hailey Mefford, Paul Mefford III, and Katelynn Mefford; brother, Robert Dankwardt Jr. Clarkrange, TN; and niece, Elizabeth Dankwardt, of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his brothers, Scott Dankwardt and Greg Dankwardt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you please make donations to National MS Society.
Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service. A private family burial will take place at Round Hill Cemetery in Belfast, TN.
