Gary Frost

Cumberland, MD – Gary Frost, 68, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at UPMC-Western Maryland.
Born December 5, 1956, in San Diego, California, he was the son of the late Edward Frost, Tye, TX and Sally Fields, San Diego, CA. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Kay Frost; and his adopted parents: Mary and Kenneth Hoffman, Sr., Waynesboro, PA.
Gary was a truck driver, and then worked for Grove Crane in Greencastle, PA. He worked for Bayliner in Mexico Farms from 2000-2002, then became a small engine mechanic for Naylor's Ace Hardware until he became disabled.
He loved to help his grandson, Zack learn new things about rebuilding cars and trucks, and eating his granddaughter, Andrea's cooking. Gary loved to talk a lot about the good times from the past. He also loved to go play cards with his best friend, Bill. Gary loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, etc.
Gary is survived by his daughters: Frances Boester, Beckemeyer, IL, Zabrina Costello and husband, Jason, Front Royal, VA, Gennifer Frost, Cumberland, and Kayla Atkinson and husband, Jeffrey, also of Cumberland, MD; 13 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., to offset the costs.
