Gary Cecil Godman of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Blenda Godman; devoted son of the late Cecil and Doris Godman; dear brother-in-law to Sheila (Chris) Clermont, Peggy (the late Joe) Stiens, and the late Floyd and Jan Wood; loving uncle of Jennifer (Jamey) Rhodes, Becky (the late John) Risso, Cory (Kassi) Clermont, Amie (Joel) Saindon, Josie (Ty) Hutchcroft, and Jacob Stiens. Preceded in death by mother and father-in-law Pete and Dorothy Thurston.
Gary, devoted husband to his high school sweetheart Blenda for 55 wonderful years, was a quiet soul with a deep love for animals, family, and life’s simple pleasures. Together, he and Blenda shared a life full of adventure, traveling near and far, including a cherished trip to Brazil, and spending time side by side watching their favorite TV shows. Gary was an avid reader who also enjoyed visits to the casino, savoring good food, and indulging his sweet tooth with candy. He was always surrounded by his beloved dogs, fish, and bird. He found great joy spending quality time with his family. Deeply loved, Gary will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorials may be made in Gary 's name to the Humane society.
