I meant to include in my previous post, that during the conversation Gary and I had at the Royal High School 50th he was
excited about this woman from Spanaway he had met named Patty. He said he thought things might be getting serious with
her and was wondering if he was crazy to be getting into a relationship just then. I told him that it's impossible to
to predict how such things will ultimately work out, and that sometimes you just have to trust your feelings,
take a chance, and see what happens. It was quite a coincidence that Gary and I ran into each other after all those years
just when he was contemplating a major life decision, and that he shared that he shared his thoughts about it with me. I
don't think I played any role in his final decision, but it looks like Gary made the right choice with Patty,
and that his last few years were happy ones. May we all be as lucky!

I went to high school with Gary. He was a year ahead of me but we hung out some. Our lives went their separate ways and I didn't see or talk to Gary until the 50th anniversary of Royal High School. He was the same Gary I remembered from all those years ago. We had a good conversation and caught up on what we had been doing for the for the past 30+ years. Gary was a super-good guy and a doting grandfather. The world is a poorer place without Gary in it. Deep condolences to Gary's family and friends.
