Gary Lee Hankins, 74 of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, passed from this life on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Gary was born on Friday, August 24, 1951, in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Phyllis Jean (Hankins) Stoothoff.

Gary was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Pappy, uncle, and friend. He worked for Stone Steel for 28 years and loved his work family. He loved NASCAR, going hunting and fishing, watching football, gardening, grilling, and working on cars and cruise ships in his younger years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and thoroughly enjoyed spending every moment he could with them. Gary was loved by those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Gary is survived by his wife 34 years, Denise Hankins; 2 Sons, Chad Blaylock and his wife, Katherine, and Shawn Moser and his wife, Tina; 3 Grandchildren, Austin Blaylock and his girlfriend, Ashley Coffman, Katie and Kalee Walters; 4 Siblings, Mike Brown, Scott Stoothoff and his wife, Wendy, Matt Stoothoff and his wife, Wendy, and Beverly Sigurnjak and her husband, David; A host nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to his mother, Gary was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Hazel and Frank Lowery; 2 Sisters, Jean King and her husband, Linwood, and Carol Shoemaker and her husband, Lewis; Mother-in-law, Margaret Beatrice Huff.

Gary chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Sorry for your family´s loss I had worked around Gary at times as I was employed at suburban supply next door to to stone brothers welding and occasionally got to work around and got to know him we always loved to joke and enjoy ourselves Terry Cumby
