Gary Hanson Obituary
Butch was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Bradford, Pa., the son of the late Marjorie Hanson Langs.
He attended Olean High School and worked as a laborer for several construction companies over the years.
Over the years, he was a member of many motorcycle clubs and loved to ride. Butch was also a member of the Olean American Legion.
Butch is survived by his brother, Donald Hanson of Louisiana; a sister, Patti Page Buchanan of Olean; nieces and nephews, Jessica Hanson of Allegany, Richard (Erin) Truman of Clearance, Brandon (Madison) Cassidy of Hinsdale, Zacary (Jackie) Everitt of Olean, Timothy (Stacey) Hanson of Portville, Bruce Hanson of Olean and Nathan (Crystal) Hanson of Olean; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, including a special great-niece, that he called "Shabops" Myshayla Page, from California. She was especially close to her uncle.
He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie; his stepfather, John Langs; and a brother, Timothy Hanson Sr.
A Celebration of Butch's Life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.

I met butch when we both lived in salamanca in a group type home we where in our early teens we hit it off rite off as friends and you may even could have called us brothers and we carried on our friendship as adults and even called each other brothers.he sure loved his motorcycles and loved life in all butch was just one of those guys when you knew he was your friend it was for life .butch it just may be time to rest my brother and I know we will be back in that group home atmosphere again and that is called heaven
