Predeceased by his grandson, Richard and great-grandson, Luca.
He is survived by his children, Richard Harter and Cindy (Hugo) Flores; grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Umstetter, Jason and Justin Harter, Maxwell, Corey and Brandon Flores; great-granddaughter, Lakely; brother, Daniel (Christine) Harter; nephews, Jeffrey, Thomas and Zachary.
Gary was a retired City of Rochester Firefighter.
Services will be held privately.

I was so shocked to hear of Gary's death. We had many good times together. He was truly a gentleman. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family at this difficult time.

Gary Harter´s sudden passing has taken us all by surprise. Please see the obituary below from Legacy. Since the family will be holding a private service, the FunRaisers would like to honor and celebrate Gary´s life at Salvatore´s, 1217 Bay Road, Webster, on Saturday, June 29th at 3:00 p.m. Salvatore´s was a favorite place for Gary. Please stop by and join us as we remember and honor Gary together.

With deep condolences to Gary's family and friends. Gary was a beloved member of the Fun Raisers (senior)
single group. We will miss the pancake breakfast he organized every spring. Great memories of the last one I attended in 2023, and sorry I missed the one this year due to a Florida vacation. Gary will be sorely missed. Brigitte Groth

I´m so glad I knew you Gary. We had so much fun with fundraisers.partys,get togethers on Thursdays, dancing on Fridays. I´ll miss your smiling face and your good nature. Sorry for your families loss. carol
