Gary Michael Impastato Sr.

Gary Michael Impastato Sr., 68, of Ponchatoula, LA, passed away after a brief illness on November 27, 2025., at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. He was born on August 7, 1956, in New Orleans, LA. A native of Metairie for over 50 years before moving to the Northshore in 2014. Gary was a devoted father, husband, and son. Known for his kindness and caring nature toward his family and friends. He worked for Trinity Yachts and other Yacht builders in New Orleans for over 30 years until retiring in 2016. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, and holiday decorating, especially for Halloween and Christmas. Gary is survived by his mother, Mary Lee Impastato, children, Gary Impastato Jr. and Rebecca Impastato, brothers Marc Impastato (Bonnie), Neil Impastato (Sue), and Frank Impastato III (Christine). He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Impastato Jr., and his wife of over 34 years, Julie Impastato.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm, with a mass following at 2:00 pm.
