Keiser, Gary

Gregory, Michigan

His Legacy…Gary Edwin Keiser, 74, passed away February 6, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to Lavern and Theresa (Linn) Keiser. Gary married the love of his life, Cathaleen Theisen, in Pinckney, Michigan. Gary was a devoted family man who took great pride in those he loved. A lifelong farmer at heart, he found joy in the land and the work it gave him. He loved attending tractor shows, especially Buckley's tractor show, where he could admire the machines and share stories with others who understood that way of life. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed traveling up north, appreciating the peace, beauty, and memories made along the way. After many years working in excavating, he retired and embraced a new season of life, spending his winter months traveling to visit his daughter Kristina in Florida, time he cherished deeply. Gary also was a retired firefighter from Pinckney. Gary was always willing to help even after he retired from excavating. Gary could easily make friends anywhere he went. His favorite story was him getting recognized as being Santa Claus and a little girl thanking him for the presents that she had received on Christmas. Gary was someone who could fix anything thrown his was and loved doing so. Gary was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by many.

His Family… Gary will be missed by his children; Michael (Theresa) Keiser, Kristina (Brett) Schira, Patrick Keiser, John (Amy) Keiser, and step son Glenn (Dawn) Adkins; Siblings; Jan (Don) Hollister, Doug (Sue) Keiser, Bill (Sue) Keiser, Mark Keiser, and Dale (Cindy) Keiser; Gary will be missed by his 13 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Lavern and Theresa Keiser, Connie Bush, and Marcy Keiser.

Gary's family and friends will gather at a later date to be announced. Father Kufitino Cobona will serve as celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Saints James Cornelius & Cyprian.
