Gary Lee Klopotek, 80, of Arcadia, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
Gary was born in Arcadia on April 24, 1945, to Isidore and Clara (Motszko) Klopotek. He graduated from Arcadia High School and dairy farmed on his family’s home farm. Gary was united in marriage on June 28, 1969, to Bonnie Kujak at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia, and the couple was blessed with three daughters. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on camping and duck hunting trips. In his younger years, Gary liked to trap shoot and play bar-league softball. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and a past member of the Arcadia Sportsman’s Club and Ducks Unlimited.
Gary is survived by his wife Bonnie of Arcadia; daughters: Brook (Ed) Fuerst of Whitehall, Kelly (Dave) Bjorge of Arcadia and Nikki (Adam) Emerson of La Crosse; granddaughters: Kendra (Ben Grimm) Bjorge and Courtney Bjorge; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Gregory Allen; and brother: Leon.
A heartfelt Thank You from our family to Marinuka Manor for the exceptional care he received the last 2 months, and also thank you to the ICU floor at Mayo Health System (especially nurses Hanna and Jeremy and Dr. Frey) for their kindness, compassion and wonderful care he received in his short time there.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia, where there will be a public prayer service beginning at 4 p.m. officiated by Father Isaac. Private family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to family wishes.
