Gary M. Kochak, 70, of Canton, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, with his beloved family at his side. He was born in Warren, Ohio on January 27, 1956, to the late Michael and Helen (Tymochko) Kochak.
He was a graduate of Howland High School in Warren and furthered his education at The Ohio State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. Gary worked at numerous hospitals and retail pharmacies for many years and retired from Aultman Hospital.
Gary was an enthusiastic enjoyer of all that life has to offer. From pastries to pool time, beach vacations to holiday baking, Costco deals to frozen novelties - he loved to share the best in life with those he cherished. He also took great pride in meticulously maintaining his yard, but nothing could ever outshine his dedication to and delight in being Daddy to his girls.
He is survived by his Honey-do, Sharon (Wise) Kochak, beloved wife of 42 years; daughters Kaitlyn (Charles) Huddleston and Emily (Eric) Nielsen; grandchildren Elizabeth, Ethan, and Braxton; brother Gregory (Jacqueline) Kochak of Alabama; nieces, nephews.
The family extends profound gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for their compassion, gentle guidance and unwavering support during Gary's final journey, and heartfelt thanks to all those who eased his path in some small way during his yearlong fight against cancer.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3rd from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave. N., Canton, Ohio 44710. A service will begin at 5:30 at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Faris officiating.
