Gary Anthony Kuykendall

Gary Anthony Kuykendall, age 60, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Gary was the kindest person you could ever meet. He was saved at an early age. He was the love of his wife's life; they were inseparable. He worked at Fatz Cafe in Greeneville, TN and was a kitchen manager for many years. He then moved on to being a trainer for Koch's food in Morristown, TN for several years until he received the news that he had cancer in 2020. Gary fought hard until the very end and continued telling jokes to make his family laugh through his sickness. He had a love for cooking special dishes, grilling, and always had a smile on his face when he could cook and feed people. Gary and his son enjoyed collecting cards together. He was a wonderful husband and dad. He took care of his family with pride and always supported his family in every decision. He always made sure his family knew how much he loved them. Gary was everyone's rock. His family will always be grateful for the time God gave them with Gary. Although, Gary's family is heartbroken to lose him; they have peace in knowing they will see Gary again.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Allen and Jody Ann Kuykendall; sister, Barbara Silvers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Angela Kuykendall; son, Steven Shipley; brothers, Terry (Amanda) Kuykendall of NC, Robert (Ashley) Kuykendall of NC; sister, Sharon Styales of NC; sisters-in-law, Juanita (L.B.) Hill of Bulls Gap, TN, Patricia (Scott) Hill of Sneedville, TN; brother-in-law, George (Billie) Hopkins of Sneedville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Gary's very special friend, L.B. Hill for coming and visiting with him daily and taking him places. It meant the world to him and to his family.
Gary's dream was to see the Panther's play football live and friends and family were able to make that happen in October 2025. Gary and his brother were able to go see them together and the family thanks everyone for making that dream come true for Gary.
