Gary Wayne Lewis, II, "Kemo", 55, of Charleston, passed away, December 22, 2021.
Kemo was born October 2, 1966 in Charleston to Gary Wayne and Hazel Joyce Affolter Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Lewis.
Kemo was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School "Class of 1984", and a director at C.A.M. C. before retiring.
Gary was an avid fisherman and was a black belt in Karate.
In addition to his mother, Hazel Joyce Lewis, he is survived by his loving family, daughter, Jessica Lynette Lewis, sister, Dr. Robin A. Lewis, son, Gary W. Lewis, III and his fiancé Kelsey K. McMeans, and grandchildren, Sophie Grace Lewis and Madelyn Rose Lewis.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 27, 2021 at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV 25302, with Pastor Dawn Adamy of Bream Memorial Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Masks will be required to attend.

We are so sorry to hear about Gary Wayne,s death. I know it is difficult to lose someone at such an early age. We will remember the family in our prayers.
We grew up in the hollow with his father and considered him to be a close friend to us. Our deepest condolences to you.
