Just learned of Gary's passing. I had the pleasure on meeting him and working for him when I came to SPCC in 1985. A true gentleman, wonderful mentor and example. He shaped the rest of my Navy career and I thank him for that. My sympathies to Donna and the family.

Gary was the head of the Contracting Office at the Naval Supply Center and my primary client when I first started working there for the Office of the General Counsel of the Navy. He was a skilled professional and a fine Naval Officer. He was a pleasure to work with As a member of the wardroom he made my wife, Sarah, and I feel very welcome as part of a Navy community.
Our professional paths crossed every now and then throughout our careers and it was always a pleasure to catch up with what was going on with Gary, Donna and their daughters, about whom they were most proud.
He will always be remembered as a fine Naval Officer and a just plain all around good man. God Bless Gary and Donna and all his family.
