Gary Louis Mazur

Mazur, Gary L. – of Vassar, age 73, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at My Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 3PM, Friday, January 10, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service.
Gary was born September 13, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Louis Michael. and Agnes Francis. (Solek) Mazur. Gary proudly served our country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Trippe IV (DE-1075) during the Vietnam Conflict, embodying the spirit of resilience and camaraderie. After his service, he dedicated over three decades of his life to the telecommunications industry, working meticulously in the repair department for SBC, which later became AT&T. Gary was a man of simple joys, whose life was marked by service, love, and quiet dedication. A man of deep faith, Gary cherished his relationship with the Lord, finding comfort and joy in his beliefs. He led a simple life, filled with the pleasures of tinkering on cars, working in his garden, and sharing quiet companionship with his beloved cat. Above all, he was a brother, an uncle, and a friend whose kindness and gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Brothers: Louie John (Connie Jo Federspiel) Mazur, Timothy Girard Mazur, "Bobby" Robert Alan Mazur, and Thomas Joseph (Diana Kaye Lind) Mazur; Sister-In-Law, Barbara Ann (Percy) Mazur; Several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Louise Michael Mazur and Agnes Francis Mazur (Solek) and brother, James "Jim" Michael Mazur.
