Gary Wayne McDaneld, age 74, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his residence, which was the original homestead of C.G. and Leona (Condron) McDaneld.
Gary was born the son of H. Wayne and Wanda (Ewing) McDaneld, on September 8, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1968 graduate of Tina-Avalon High School. Gary was united in marriage to Clarissa Hughes on December 22, 2020, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives of the home. Gary was a lifetime farmer. He enjoyed hot rods, old cars and going fast. If it moved fast, he was all in. He was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Hale, Missouri.
Gary is also survived by two sons, Michael McDaneld (Peggy) of Norborne, Missouri, and Kristopher Rhodes of the home; two daughters, Julie Doupe (Nathan) of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Alexis Rhodes of the home; four grandchildren, Jacob Hale, Abby Wheeler, Jett Sewell and Jagger Sewell; five great grandchildren, Ellie Hale, Marley Hale, Houston Hale, Paisley Harbert and Easton Robinson; one brother, David McDaneld (Linda) of Hale, Missouri; and one nephew, William McDaneld of Hale, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one brother, H. Brent McDaneld; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Gary McDaneld Memorial Fund (please make checks payable to Clarissa McDaneld) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
