Gary was the best neighbor in Quincy Ca. He made our family feel welcomed when we retired to Quincy. Never a dull moment filled the neighborhood with laughter and smiles.

Gary
Packing into the South Warner wilderness with Gary and his livestock was always a fun adventure. He could tie diamond hitches as well as the famed packer Smoke Elsner. We always made it to camp with most of our gear and several of the eggs made it intact. Gary´s horses and mules were well cared for as if they were his own family. He made a comfortable camp in the wilderness complete with wall tent, wood stove and cots. Campfire stories were the best part and Gary was also able to locate some nice mule deer bucks for us which was icing on the cake. I also testified in court numerous times as the investigating officer in many criminal trials with Gary being the prosecuting attorney. His bearing was always professional, firm and fair. He taught me much about testifying in court. Thank you Gary for teaching me about mule packing, hunting and testifying. A man for all seasons.

Gary was a good guy. We would party around Quincy back in the day. He was funny and kind, and I wish him a peaceful rest.

Gary was a wonderful person. I worked in the County Clerk-Recorder´s department from 1988 through 2020 and have many fond memories of him. Gary never missed being a sweetheart on Valentines Day. Every year he would go to all the offices and hand out a little Valentine card and a Hershey chocolate kiss to every gal in the courthouse. We all loved him, his quick sense of humor and his thoughtfulness. Comforting wishes to his family~
