Gary Dale Mitchell

     Gary Dale Mitchell (Honey) age 64, of Pikeville, Kentucky resided at 1750 East point, Ky., passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on April 14, 1960 in Pikeville, Ky., the son of the late Garland and Anna (Roberts) Mitchell.  Survived by his wife, Delilia Martin Mitchell and two daughters, Jessica (Joey) Damron of Morehead, Ky., and Bethany Mitchell of Martin, Kentucky.  Two step children, Allison (Justin) Henson and Cody (Caitlyn) Hackworth of Auxier, Kentucky.

     Gary was a retired foreman in the mines over 33 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church.  He was a member at The Revival Center of Prestonsburg.

     Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Garland Gene Mitchell.

    Survivors include one brother, Larry (Brenda) Mitchell of Pikeville, Ky., seven sisters:  Kathy (Elvis) Keene of Pikeville, Sandy (John) Corbin of Pikeville, Debra (Jim) Thomas of Pikeville, Mary (Danny) Harris of Pikeville, Stephanie (Shannon) Little of Morehead, Ky., Brenda Profitt of Eolia, Ky., Nikki Mitchell of Ewing, Ky.,  five grandchildren:  Garrett Damron of Lexington, Zoey Damron of Mount Sterling, Aaron Gevedon of Lexington, Victoria Stanley of Pikeville, Kyler Lee Henson of Auxier, Ky., three great grandchildren, Bryson, Zander, and Julian, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

     Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday at 6p.m.   Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Monday, January 20, 2025 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jared Rucker officiating and others.  Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Garden Cemetery at Prestonsburg, Ky.
