I was privileged to be coached by him in 1969 and introduced him to my linebacker/fullback son at a Michigan camp in 1994. He was an honorable coach and man. God rest his soul. Go Blue.

Great coach. You picked up where Bo left off. Too bad you resigned early because you had some great teams. Rest easy

Dear Ann, Andy and Moeller Family,
My sincere condolences to you.
I was honored to be a close friend of yours starting in 1972 when Andy and I became close friends. Gary always treated me with great respect and kindness. I will treasure the time I spent at your home in Ann Arbor as well as the visits I had with Gary at his office at the U of M, after a Rose Bowl game and in Seattle before a Lions game.
I have never been more Proud of a friend's career accomplishments than I have Gary's. A truly tremendous friend and someone I looked up to.
You and Gary are in my thoughts and prayers. My family also sends their love and condolences.

I am a neighbor of the Moeller family in Michigan. I was born in St. Rita's in Lima, raised in Leipsic, OH., and an OSU graduate. I remember listening to the Ohio State football games on WIMA radio and cheering on Joe Sparma, John Mummey, and Paul Warfield. Gary's number was not called often, but as I discovered later, he was just as important as Messrs Sparma, Mummey and Warfield. I found out when he became the head coach of my team's and my home state's chief rival, the University of Michigan. (I always wondered, did he ever lose his love for OSU? (My answer- absolutely not!))
I was privileged to meet Mr. Moeller when he and Ann moved to our neighborhood in Michigan. I was always impressed by his kindness and deference to me and my wife. I am equally impressed with Ann and Andy (I have not met the daughters).
I am an OSU alum and will forever be a great fan of Mo and his family. He will be remembered always.
In great sympathy,
Dave and Debby Buckland

Ann and Family, so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I know it has been a long and difficult road that you've had to travel on these past few years. We'll be keeping you and your family in our prayers.
My father and Lloyd worked at the Equity Dairies together for years and they and their families would get together and the guys would play poker, so I've known Gary and Roger for many years.

Coach Mo was a special Coach and a special person. In my opinion, the smartest, most creative coach on the staff at Michigan. Beyond that, was how much he cared about the players and mentoring us to be leaders, humble, tough, hard working, great teammates, and to always do the right thing. He lived his words. Coach Mo helped many players through tough times and rewarded those that persevered. I am grateful and honored to have played for him, what he did for me, and the impact he has had on me. For the Moeller family, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that Coach Mo positively impacted thousands of people through his actions and words and we are all better because of him.

Dearest Ann and family. My father Rex Aukerman ( who we lost in 1999) coached with Gary In Bellefontaine. Oh the bigger than life memories we have from that era. Gary was a giant in my eyes. My brother Kevin adored him and even my sister Kendra has memories. From his boisterous laugh to his passion on the field. My mother Jeanene (who we lost in 2017) would tell many stories of dad and Gary´s adventures. Some pretty darn ornery. I would love to hear from any of you that may remember us. I am on Facebook as Kim Aukerman Bigelow. Please know you are in our hearts and prayers.

My sympathy goes out to you and your family for the loss of Gary. My mother Loella Ridgeway was good friends with Jeanette and often told me your family news. The obituary sent to me by my sister sounds like Gary´s life was full of love for family and football. You must have many wonderful memories to comfort you. May he rest in peace.
