Gary A Music was born in Bakersfield on September 27, 1955, where he grew up, had an adventurous childhood, attended school, and graduated from West High. Gary worked in agriculture for the majority of his life. He was well known and well respected in the Kern County farming community and the watermelon community.
Gary passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2025, at Hoffmann Hospice. The staff was amazing and took such good care of Gary in his final few days. He passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior with his wife by his side.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Shae and her extended Gholson family, who all loved Gary very much. Gary is also survived by his beloved Mother Rachel and her extended family, who will miss him dearly. Gary leaves behind many family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many business associates and life-long friends – a true testament to the man he was...trustworthy, reliable, and full of an overwhelming amount of integrity.

We shared many adventures and hours of endless talk around crackling camp- fires and starry nights, our endless quest to find the best seafood chowder on the coast, miles of highway that passed below our motorcycles on our many trips, hanging with friends along the way and just being buddies for so many years. You were a good man Gary and I will miss you for the rest of time.
