Gary Don Nelke, age 79, of Ward, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2025. Gary was born on January 3, 1946, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Edward and Anna Nelke. Gary was a Deacon at Union Valley Baptist Church and was a retired manager of Graybar Electric, and was an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, flea markets and yard sales.
Gary is survived by his daughter, April (Chance) Brown; five grandchildren, Allie, Courtney, Parker, Walker and Mitchell; one great grandson, Roman; six brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Larry, Glynn, Stan, Randy and Toni; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sandra, and two sisters, Lisa and Susan.
Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2025, at Union Valley Baptist Church.
