Gary Perkins

Gary N. Perkins, age 62 passed away December 14, 2025 in Warren, Michigan. Born Gary Neil Perkins on September 3, 1963 in Highland Park, Michigan to L.D. Perkins and Doris O. Perkins (nee; Pingilley). Gary was a sheet metal model maker responsible for bringing to life the many concept cars featured each year by the Automotive Industry. He loved both his work and his work family and spent 25 years with them at Vehima International of America.
He enjoyed Car and Bike Shows and was a part of the Freedom Cruisers Riding Club for many years. He also loved Motorcycling, 4-Wheeling and Snowmobiling throughout the U.P. with famiy and friends. That love for the Upper Penninsula of Michigan began 55 years before during family vacations and brought him a lifetime of exploration and adventures from trail riding to waterfall hunting and instillled in him a lifelong respect for nature. Gary also had a way with animals and deeply loved all of his pets; most of them being rescues that were drawn to him over the years.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Karen Perkins, 2 brothers; Ralph Perkins and Ronald (Carol) Perkins, sisters; Jan (Harold) Allport and Lori (Matthew) Marheineke and 10 nieces and nephews; Erin, Kristen, James, Ronnie Sue, Shelly, Jessica, Meghan, Troy, Shawn and Timothy and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with 7:00pm Service at Chas. Verheyden Inc., -Duross Chapel, 28499 Schoenherr Rd., Warren, Michigan 48088.
