Gary Prestidge Obituary
Born in Jonesboro, Gary moved to California when he was 14 and lived in Arizona, Nevada and Utah before moving back to Jonesboro in 2022. Gary was a talented horse jockey for many years and rode in the thoroughbred circuit. He also was a hardware salesman and for the last few years before retirement, Gary worked in the Gaming profession.
Gary was a member of Family Fellowship Baptist Church in Jonesboro, enjoyed water skiing and boating, and was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Vivian Lee Wallace Prestidge, a son, Gary Prestidge, and 2 brothers, Wayne Prestidge and Allen Prestidge.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie Prestidge of Mississipi, and a sister, Dorothy Burrow of Jonesboro.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.
For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to Family Fellowship Baptist Church, 2441 Old Greensboro Rd., Jonesboro, AR 72405.
