Gary Privett Obituary
Gary was born on July 25th, 1961, in Monroe, NC, to the late William C. Privett and Grace Ruth Cromer Privett.
He graduated from Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC, in 1979.
Gary worked at Hendrick Acura for 18 years, following his previous role at the Siskey YMCA in Matthews, NC.
A devoted member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Gary's love for Jesus was evident in his servant's heart and willingness to help others. He was often the first to arrive on Sundays, unlocking the church buildings for education and worship. He served as a deacon, sang in the choir, and was a faithful member of his Sunday morning Bible study. Gary deeply loved his church family-and they loved him in return. He will be dearly missed by all at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.
Gary is survived by his brothers, Michael Edward Privett and Terry Wayne Privette; his nephew, Cody Wayne Privette; and his niece, Meagan Celeste Russell-all of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by his half-sister, Jeanette Lynn Kroger, of Charleston, SC.
A memorial service for Gary will be held on Sunday, August 10th, at 12:00 p.m. at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, located at 3316 Pleasant Plains Road, Matthews, NC.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Building Fund or Pleasant Plains Christian School. Please designate your gift in memory of Gary.
