Gary Smiley Ramos, age 68, of Killeen, passed from this life on Friday, August 29, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Gary was born on May 19, 1957, to Ramon and Cruz Ramos in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He married the love of his life, Norma Ramos, and worked as a truck driver. Gary was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who was deeply loved by all who knew him.
He enjoyed football, proudly cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, cooking barbecue, and listening to music. His big heart, sense of humor, and love for life will be remembered always.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Ramos, and his sister, Lucy Ramos.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cruz Ramos; his beloved wife, Norma Ramos; his sons, Miguel Segovia and Gary Ramos Jr.; his daughters, Dora Davis and Cathy Segovia; his brother, Ramon Ramos Jr.; his sister, Ruby Kaeo; and his grandchildren, Eddie Frazier IV, La’Shon Frazier, Adalyn Ramos, Ayden Davis, Kason Ramos, Lucy Davis, and Aceson Frazier.
Gary will be missed dearly and remembered with love forever.
